How often do you go for Online Dating?

According to the second week's poll results, it states that 57.1% of people have voted that they don't even try Online Dating, 28.6% voted that they try Online Dating once a week, 14.3% voted that they try Online Dating once a month and 0% voted that they go for Online Dating everyday and that they are not sure.

Through this analysis, we can say that majority of Malaysians do not favour Online Dating. Less than one third of Malaysians only try Online Dating once a week and 50% of those who try once a week only try once a month.

Most Malaysians don't even try Online Dating. Some of the older generations believe that it is a waste of time or it will not work. One of the reasons why they do not try Online Dating could be because they might be computer illiterate or they might not use the websites as much as the youngsters. Another reason could also be because of being brought up in a more secure environment and morality that they do not date online.

Well, it is not only the older generation who do not date online. The traditions, beliefs and culture of the older generation have also been passed down to the some of the younger generations , so much so that some youngsters do not try online dating though they might spend hours at the website.

People do not date online most probably because they do not feel safe or because they are exposed to the happenings around them as many internet crimes are going on. They read and hear about many crimes such as rape, murder, robbery and so much more. You could call this "fear of the unknown".

We can also say from this analysis that maybe they do not try Online Dating because they feel insecure, self conscious or that if they date online it is humiliating. Online Dating is more popular in most Western countries as they have a different upbringing and perception.

I have read an article about how to make a perfect dating strategy. Through this article, I agree what the author has said because most of it really happens.

There are many singles who were pursue a relationship by coaching to learn about the dating strategies and need some guidance to advice so that they can get it successfully. There are ten strategies that will successful in dating.

Although these strategies are old-fashioned and some people don't have the courage to try but these strategies are useful.

Let say if you are already in a relationship, these strategies may sparkle both of your relationship.

Here are the ten strategies:

1. If you are a woman who pursues the men first, you must not step out and you have to allow the men to pursue you. If you are the man who is waiting for a woman to ask you out, take the first step out and ask them out instead. A woman pursuing a man sets up an uncomfortable power dynamic that is difficult to change later. So remember the female try not to be the first person to move the first step because this will let the guys know that you are the one who want to start the relationship with them not the guys when your relationship is end they will always say back the first memory which will hurt your feeling.

2. Stay away from getting an early relationship together. Try to get to know each other well at least a few months and then only get into a relationship. These will make the conversation become the central of your interaction, so it will make it harder to experience other parts of your relationship. Remember start the early relationship doesn’t prove that you know him, or her well the beginning of the relationship will be very sweet but as time pass when you know both of you doesn’t know each other well, both of you will have to end the relationship.

3. Remember don’t have a sexual relationship until you are dedicated to the one you love. This may seem old fashioned but relationship is partnerships, although sexuality is a part of a relationship, but it is not a good foundation on which to build a relationship. If you build your relationship on sex, it will lose the interest of your partner as they will not feel at ease and comfortable, especially among women. Remember especially the female don’t give your virgin easily to the guys that don’t give you future because the virgin for the girls are very important it is represent the reputation on yourself. So, if your future husband knows that you are not the virgin he will not respect you.

4. Limit your time together in the beginning. If you miss that person, you can be on the phone with each other and talk to each other but be in control. How is a house built? Brick by brick. How you develop friendship? It takes time. Does the close relationship deserve any less? Remember love in the beginning is very sweet but when time pass everything will change both your topic will become less and in the end both of your relationship will end, not many people can continue their relationship until getting married especially now a day of the youngest.

5. Spend more time courting in person rather than using e-mail or phone. Electronic communication has a way to be anonymous and keep it safe. It can allow false sense of proximity. If you feel that the person is not safe, you can move away. Remember electronic things cannot represent that person because it will not judge the person you like. If you are not beside them they can just telling lies to you without letting you know? So make the decision for yourself.

6. Try to be yourself in all times during the dating process. This will make both of you clearly see if the relationship will work. If you are suitable, you will discover more things to like about each other. If you are not suitable, you will be able to find out earlier rather than later. Remember wearing the mask to start the relationship doesn’t help you to get the person you like in the same time when he or she knows your real personality they will left you.

7. Try to be clear from the beginning about how you want and don’t want to be treated. It is better to know how your new partner responds to your limits and standards. Remember trust each other is very important, if you telling lies to your partner you may losing him or her but if you say it out to your partner both of you may be more lovely.

8. Try to be aware of who your new partner is. At the same time, don’t automatically assume he will disappoint you in the same ways that you have been disappoints before. Try to give him a change to treat you well rather than testing to see if he will cause you pain. Remember every one in this world will do something wrong so don’t use your angle to judge you partner because this make them unfair, try to give them a change to explain. If you meet a person that you like don’t give him or her change first because at that moment you may still love you ex boy or ex girl friend this will make you confuse and this will make the person you like unfair, so try to think rationally.

9. Accept your new partner as she already or don’t engage in the relationship. Try to accept her behavior if her behavior continues you can try to change her behavior. If she love you a lot she will change for you. Remember you may change the person behavior if they really love you they will change it for you. If you let your partner continue with their behavior, in the end you will feel very hard to communicate with each other and in the end both of your relationship will end.

10. Enjoy. Have fun. Connect. Learn. Dating is wonderful. It’s a change to let you meet the new and interesting people to have fun activities. It’s an opportunity for growth. So it will make you life sparkle. Remember be patient will give you a better relationship try not be so childish with you partner because some of them feel very frustrating facing with you. This is how you maintain you relationship.

Here, I have listed below some of the safety tips that i feel may be useful for you.

• Anonymity: When you are using an Online Dating service, do not provide any personal information and details such as real name, address, contact details, credit card number and so on in your personal profile. Online dating service does not require any of these details and there is no reason why any other person should obtain all these information and details.

• Be aware of anyone who presses for information: Most online dating sites only focus on your personal traits, interest, values and such. Usually, online dating sites would only require information that will be of interest to another person in order for you to find "the one" but if someone asks you for specific details such as your exact location, complete address, your working or studying place, then you should be immediately cautious of this person as they are asking information about you that are not relevant.

• Keep it vague: You do not have to tell everything about yourself in detail when you are communicating with the other member on an online dating service. For example, you can tell someone that you work in a florist shop every morning which is totally fine but telling them that which place you work at, from what time to what time, which days, and that you live just behind the florist shop is really not necessary.

• Take your time: Go slowly. Take your time in getting to know the other person you are talking to, there is no need to rush. If you feel the person you are talking to is such a gem or too good to be true, then maybe they probably are. As time goes by, you will be able to spot any irregularity and soon realise that it does not fit.

• Follow your instinct: While communicating, if you feel bored or you want to attend to another member, do not hesitate to do so. Your instinct may just be right. Online dating services have a big advantage as the sites allow you to block other member(s) whom you are not comfortable or reluctant to communicate with.

• Report bad apples: You should report immediately any inappropriate behaviour that you feel threatened to the Online Dating services to help other members as well.

• Choose a well established dating site: Lastly, choose a well-established website or that is popular among your friends. This will make you more confident to use a website that is known to others than to choose one that is totally strange to you.

We are so lucky that we are born in the media lifestyle by using all kind of media.
